Job Requirements
- Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and modifying information
- Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
- Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
- Ability to explain product features, warranties, and protection plans
- Experience in supervising, training, and coaching staff
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Competency in using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
Job Duties
- Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
- Proactively greet and engage with customers recommending products and services
- Help customers with completing transactions including scanning and payments
- Provide excellent SMART customer service, responding promptly to inquiries
- Locate, demonstrate, and assist customers with merchandise selection
- Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using a cash register
- Supervise and support front-end cashier associates
- Prepare register areas and inspect returned merchandise
- Enter and submit customer orders, verify receipts and tickets
- Monitor store entrances to prevent theft and assist with security alarms
- Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the store
- Operate various store equipment including scanners, telephones, and CCTV
- Conduct safety reviews, note hazards, and ensure secure environment
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management
