Job Requirements

Must have less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting, accessing, modifying, or outputting information
Must have less than 1 year of experience with common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
Must possess 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
Must be able to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
1 to 2 years of experience in product identification and sales including credit cards and protection plans
1 to 2 years of experience as a head cashier
1 to 2 years of experience working in any department at Lowe's
1 to 2 years of supervisory experience including coaching and training employees
Under 1 year experience identifying signs of shoplifting

Job Duties

Monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
Proactively greet, assist, and engage with customers
Recommend products and services appropriately
Complete transactions accurately while moving throughout checkout area
Thank customers and invite them back to shop at Lowe's
Provide SMART customer service in line with company policies
Help customers locate, select, and carry merchandise
Answer customer and employee questions and provide product demonstrations
Communicate product information, warranty details, and special programs
Coach and train associates in departmental duties and sales opportunities
Process sales transactions, returns, and refunds using cash register
Provide monetary change and support to front-end associates
Supervise and support CSA Front End Team
Remove security tags and bag merchandise
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Open additional registers as needed for coverage
Assist in line vesting for quicker checkout
Prepare register area and stock supplies
Inspect returned merchandise for damage
Enter and submit customer orders and verify receipts
Review and place online orders in proper areas
Verify price matches for products
Maintain store use lists for items
Monitor cash drawer amounts and safety bags
Observe store entrances for security
Detect and report shoplifting and theft
Maintain cleanliness and organization through housekeeping programs
Conduct daily safety reviews and maintain safe work environment
Adhere to safety requirements including equipment and procedures
Operate store equipment as necessary
Perform additional duties as assigned
