Job Requirements

  • Less than 1 year of experience using a computer including inputting and accessing information
  • Less than 1 year of experience using common retail technology such as smart phones and tablets
  • 1 to 2 years of retail experience as a cashier
  • Ability to lift items weighing up to 15 pounds with or without accommodation

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 2 years of retail cashier experience
  • Experience identifying and selling products based on customer needs
  • Experience as a head cashier preferred
  • Supervisory experience including training and coaching employees
  • Knowledge of loss prevention techniques
  • Basic computer skills including using smart phones and tablets

Job Duties

  • Demonstrates ability to monitor and assist customers at multiple self-checkout registers simultaneously
  • Approaches and interacts with customers to recommend products and services
  • Greets, assists, and engages multiple customers concurrently
  • Moves throughout checkout area to complete transactions accurately
  • Provides SMART customer service according to Lowe's policies
  • Assists customers in locating, selecting, and carrying merchandise
  • Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions
  • Coaches, trains, and provides feedback to associates
  • Processes sales transactions, returns, and refunds
  • Provides supervision and support to front end team
  • Ensures compliance with safety standards and loss prevention measures
  • Operates store equipment such as Zebra phone, paging system, CCTV
  • Prepares register area and inspects returned merchandise
  • Reviews and manages online orders and price matching
  • Maintains cleanliness and safety of store environment
  • Monitors merchandise entry and exit to detect security risks
  • Answers phone calls and directs or takes messages
  • Opens additional registers as needed
  • Removes security tags and bags merchandise
