Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • associates degree preferred
  • minimum one year customer service experience in healthcare environment preferred
  • ability to travel between multiple office locations
  • authorized to work in the United States
  • availability for part-time hours of 20 to 29 per week

  • proficient with medical systems and electronic medical records
  • excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism

Job Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in person or on the telephone
  • note patient arrival and create new accounts in the Practice Management System as needed
  • prepare necessary patient paperwork prior to appointments
  • call no-show appointments to reschedule and document appropriately
  • schedule appointments to optimize patient satisfaction and provider time
  • assist patients in distress during emergencies
  • verify insurance eligibility and financial information
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area
  • collect patient copays and balances
  • maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies
  • answer telephone inquiries politely and promptly
  • communicate professionally with patients, visitors, providers, and team members
  • support clinic social media presence by gathering content and sharing updates
