Job Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Effective computer skills and knowledge
Minimum one year experience working with homeless population
Ability to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing

Preferred bilingual in any language
Preferred knowledge in addiction, recovery, and mental illness
Preferred knowledge of issues pertaining to homelessness

Job Duties

Maintain an exceptional customer service oriented front desk environment
Welcome guests, staff, and visitors in person and via phone
Respond to guest and neighbor concerns and questions in a timely and professional manner
Operate electronic entry monitoring system and multi-line phone system
Log all activities of the shift
Create and update guest IDs in the Pine Street data system
Assist guests in accessing services such as food, clothing, medical care, and referrals
Ensure a safe and secure environment by attending to safety and security policies
Collaborate frequently with on-site security services and other Pine Street departments
Assess guests' needs and assets to make appropriate transitional and housing referrals
Serve as a resource to assist guests in obtaining permanent housing
