We are currently seeking a Front Desk Associate to join our dynamic front office team. This hourly position offers a competitive rate of $17.00 per hour and focuses on delivering seamless guest services and enhancing the overall guest experience. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage guest interactions with professionalism and warmth. Responsibilities include greeting and checking guests in and out promptly and accurately, managing reservations including pre-registration and room blocking, posting charges efficiently, handling guest inquiries and complaints constructively, and managing cash and payment transactions with accuracy. Proficiency in front office computer systems or manual systems relevant to hotel daily transactions is essential. The role also requires knowledge of hotel rates, discounts, reservation procedures, and cancellation policies. The candidate must be able to work varying schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays, and must demonstrate a strong work ethic and self-initiative. Job Duties
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with guests and handle inquiries or complaints professionally
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with guests and staff
- Greet and communicate cordially with guests, promptly and professionally checking them in and out of the hotel
- Assist in pre-registration and blocking of reservations when necessary
- Promptly, accurately and efficiently know how and where to post all charges
- Have complete working knowledge of Front Office computer or manual system, including all daily transactions and those which are not performed often
- Ability to handle guests issues and complaints with patience and find effective solutions
- Accurately manage cash handling, including receiving cash, checks and credit card information from guests for payment of hotel charges and making change correctly
- Review any reservations with special requests and work to block rooms accordingly
- Have knowledge of hotel rates, discounts and how to handle each
- Have working knowledge of reservations and procedures, including how to take same day reservations. Should be able to take reservations in approximately 2 minutes
- Know and follow cancellation procedures and relocation procedures when necessary
