This position offers a day job shift with salary commensurate with experience. The Food Service Worker will be entrusted with operating and maintaining food service equipment, assisting in food serving and distribution, and upholding cleanliness in the kitchen, dining area, and related spaces. Duties also include managing food supplies carefully and maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment at all times. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- previous experience in food service preferred
- knowledge of safe and sanitary food handling practices
- ability to communicate effectively
- physically able to lift and carry heavy items
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- willing to follow instructions and work under limited supervision
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma
- able to communicate clearly verbally and in writing
- ability to stand and walk the majority of the shift
- able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and push or pull the same frequently
- able to perform frequent bending, stooping, and crawling
Job Duties
- Follow safe/sanitary food handling practices
- operate and maintain food service equipment
- use supplies appropriately
- assist in the serving and distribution of food and in the clean-up and disassembly of the dining room
- clean kitchen, kitchen equipment, dining room and remove trash
- maintain a safe, sanitary work environment
- perform a variety of duties as directed by the manager
