Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 0-2 years of relevant food service experience
  • Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification during onboarding
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Ability to work a regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Ability to work 25 hours per week over a 38-week academic calendar

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of basic food service and preparation techniques
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
  • Basic math skills for recipe conversion
  • Knowledge of kitchen equipment such as slicers, dishwashers, ovens, and fryers
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

Job Duties

  • Adhere to all food safety handling procedures
  • Operate serving stations as needed to contribute to student and guest satisfaction
  • Produce goods in large quantities for services
  • Maintain accurate par levels to ensure food cost and quality
  • Substitute for or assist team members during emergencies, absences, or service rush periods
  • Assist with receiving, product rotation, and restocking of food and supplies
  • Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus considering cost and event needs
  • Maintain commitment to college mission, values, policies, and collaborate with colleagues
  • Perform other duties as assigned by department or college officials
