Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-2 years of relevant food service experience
- Ability to obtain ServSafe Certification during onboarding
- Legal authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to work a regular schedule from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Ability to work 25 hours per week over a 38-week academic calendar
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of basic food service and preparation techniques
- Skill in oral and written communication
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse populations
- Basic math skills for recipe conversion
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment such as slicers, dishwashers, ovens, and fryers
- Time management and organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Job Duties
- Adhere to all food safety handling procedures
- Operate serving stations as needed to contribute to student and guest satisfaction
- Produce goods in large quantities for services
- Maintain accurate par levels to ensure food cost and quality
- Substitute for or assist team members during emergencies, absences, or service rush periods
- Assist with receiving, product rotation, and restocking of food and supplies
- Consult with supervisory staff to plan menus considering cost and event needs
- Maintain commitment to college mission, values, policies, and collaborate with colleagues
- Perform other duties as assigned by department or college officials
