Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to pass DSHS background check
  • Ability to follow established food service practices
  • Ability to perform host, busser, and food server functions
  • Ability to take and submit food orders within policy
  • Ability to manage time effectively and maintain productivity
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handler's Certificate or ability to obtain within 14 days
  • First Aid and CPR certified or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Washington State Alcohol Permit or ability to obtain within 30 days
  • Ability to provide exceptional customer service
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Sensitivity to the needs of older adults
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact with residents, family members, visitors, and co-workers
  • Ability to follow food service practices and perform host, busser, and server duties

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat residents and guests in the dining room
  • Take and submit accurate food and beverage orders following established service standards
  • Assist in the set-up, service, and breakdown of daily meals and special events
  • Bus and clean tables after each course and sanitize the dining area
  • Manage resident to-go meals and delivery per community standards
  • Respond to resident questions, needs, and concerns and report feedback to management
  • Follow all established safety standards and report any safety concerns to the Dining Services Director or Executive Director
