This part-time, non-management position is based at VEA Newport Beach and offers an hourly wage of $17.90, with eligibility for tips and service charge compensation. The role requires open availability, including weekends and holidays, reflecting the dynamic nature of the hospitality business. The Guest Service Support Expert plays a vital support role within the food and beverage operations of the resort. The position is more than just completing tasks; it involves creating a seamless and enjoyable guest experience that complements the food and beverage offerings.

In this role, you will be responsible for a variety of duties that support the smooth functioning of the dining environment. This includes setting tables to Marriott’s exacting standards of presentation, assisting kitchen staff when necessary, replenishing supplies, and maintaining cleanliness and organization in work areas. The ability to stay active on your feet is essential, as you will be moving, standing, or walking for extended periods, sometimes on uneven or slippery surfaces. Physical demands include lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects up to 25 pounds independently and heavier items with assistance. Good communication skills and a professional appearance are critical, as you represent the brand and interact directly with guests, helping to shape their overall impression of the resort’s hospitality.

The ideal candidate will be someone dedicated to maintaining high standards, safety, and quality while performing their duties efficiently and with attention to detail. This role does not require previous supervisory experience or formal certifications, although experience in a food and beverage environment is preferred.
