As a member of the Trash Butler team, you will have a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the cleanliness and sustainability of multifamily communities through the delivery of exceptional nightly doorstep trash and recycling collection services. This role offers aspiring and energetic individuals a chance to be the face of Trash Butler during service evenings, embodying the company's values and dedication to quality service. No prior experience is required as comprehensive training is provided, ensuring every new team member is equipped to excel in their responsibilities. The position pays a competitive salary of $1,800 per month, paid semi-monthly, reflecting the company’s commitment to valuing its workforce. Employees can look forward to working Sunday through Thursday evenings, with shifts beginning promptly at 8:00 PM and lasting approximately three hours, accommodating a balanced work-life schedule.
Team members will utilize advanced technology, including Trash Butler’s proprietary field app, to manage timekeeping, check-ins and check-outs, and reporting tasks efficiently. The job involves collecting bagged trash from residents' doorsteps using assigned totes or carts, safely transporting collected waste to designated on-site dumpsters or compactors, and maintaining excellent communication with supervisors to ensure smooth operations. Additional service tasks may involve porter duties, bulk item hauling, pressure washing, and minor community maintenance tasks, offering a varied and engaging work experience. Trash Butler emphasizes working quietly and efficiently to minimize disturbance to residents, fostering a respectful community atmosphere. Job Requirements
- Lift up to 25 lbs. and use hands and arms repetitively
- Climb stairs in apartment buildings
- Work outdoors and be exposed to various weather conditions
- Own an open bed pick-up truck (required at most properties)
- Possess a valid driver's license and auto insurance in your name or listed as an authorized driver on the insurance (mandatory for properties requiring a truck)
- Have a cell phone (smartphone) to download and use the company's app
- Demonstrate self-motivation and reliability
- Ability to work independently
- Work efficiently without sacrificing the quality of service
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Customer service experience is a plus
Job Duties
- Ensure satisfactory completion of nightly doorstep trash and recycling collection during service evenings
- Utilize the assigned trash tote or cart to collect bagged trash from each resident doorstep
- Utilize Trash Butler's cutting-edge field app for efficient timekeeping, check-in/out, and reporting
- Safely transport collected trash using your open-bed pickup truck or cart and dispose of it in the on-site dumpsters, compactors or chute rooms
- Perform additional services as needed at assigned communities, which may include but are not limited to: porter service, bulk item hauling, pet station waste removal, pressure washing, compactor clean-up, and light community cleanliness tasks
- Maintain daily communication with your supervisor/manager to ensure a streamlined and effective workflow
- Work quietly and efficiently, minimizing noise to avoid disturbance to residents
- Adhere to the company's core values: Figure It Out, Champion of Change, Do the Right Thing, Never, 'Not My Job', and Expect Excellence
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor/manager
