Job Description
Valet Living is a leading provider of doorstep service solutions designed to enhance the daily lives of residents at apartment communities. Focused on creating clean, safe, and comfortable living environments, Valet Living delivers innovative waste management and recycling services with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction and community well-being. The company prides itself on its unique approach that combines cutting-edge technology with reliable, localized service to meet the needs of multifamily housing properties. Valet Living is an Equal Opportunity Employer that embraces diversity and inclusion, ensuring fair hiring practices and equitable workplace policies for all employees regardless of race, religion, gender, or other protected statuses.
This particular role is a part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist position, popularly known as a Service Valet, offering evening shifts typically ranging from 10 to 15+ hours per week. It is designed for individuals seeking consistent and steady work close to home without the hassle of long-distance driving or off-site waste dumping. The job entails servicing one or more nearby apartment communities in the same local area, thereby eliminating long commutes and allowing employees to stay within their neighborhoods. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking for a second job, supplemental income, or flexible night shifts that fit around other commitments such as a full-time job, school, or family responsibilities.
The Service Valet's primary responsibility is to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps each service night and transport it to on-site compactors, ensuring the areas are clean and residents awake to a tidy environment each morning. The role is physically active, requiring walking across properties, climbing stairs, and working outdoors regardless of weather conditions. Valet Living equips all Service Valets with necessary safety gear such as gloves and safety vests and supports their work through a mobile app that facilitates check-ins, work tracking, and communication. Employees are compensated with competitive hourly wages, with different pay rates for helpers and those who utilize their own trucks or vehicles.
This position does not involve handling bulk items or traveling for off-site waste dumping, which makes it manageable and focused within a defined area. With a fast and straightforward hiring process, Valet Living offers quick onboarding for interested candidates. Employees also have opportunities for career growth, as internal promotions account for a significant portion of area leader hires. Referral bonuses are available as well, rewarding team members who successfully bring friends and family into the workforce. Working with Valet Living means joining a community-oriented company that values safety, health, steady income, and employee well-being while providing a role that keeps you active and engaged in a friendly team environment.
