Job Description
Valet Living is a reputable service company specializing in providing doorstep trash collection services to apartment communities. The company is known for its commitment to maintaining clean, safe, and comfortable living environments for residents in various residential communities. By focusing exclusively on apartment complexes, Valet Living ensures a targeted approach that benefits both residents and property managers alike. As a leader in its niche market, Valet Living employs Service Valets who play a crucial role in upholding cleanliness standards by collecting trash and recycling materials directly from residents' doorsteps.
The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist at Valet Living offers part-time, steady evening hours typically ranging from 10 to 15 or more hours per week. Employees work close to their homes within their local area, servicing one or multiple nearby apartment communities without the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping. This job is particularly well-suited for individuals seeking supplemental income, a second job, or flexible work that fits around existing commitments such as school, family, or a primary occupation.
As a Service Valet, you will utilize your personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from apartment doorsteps and transport it to the on-site compactor. The job involves physical activity including walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The work is highly independent yet structured, guided by a mobile app that allows you to check in, track your tasks, and document your work with photos if needed.
Valet Living offers a competitive pay rate of $21 per hour for truck operators and $19 per hour for helpers, with the advantage of fast payment through DailyPay. The scheduling mainly includes evening shifts from Sunday to Thursday starting after 7 to 8 PM, but other schedules may also be available. This position emphasizes safety, with gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment provided to ensure a secure working environment.
Working as a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist is not only a practical way to earn steady income but also a role that promotes an active lifestyle, avoiding the sedentary nature of desk jobs. The company values career growth, with half of the area leader positions being filled by internal promotions, and offers referral bonuses to encourage team growth. Valet Living is committed to diversity and equal opportunity employment, prioritizing inclusivity and fairness in its hiring, training, and promotion practices.
If you own an open-bed pickup truck or a suitable vehicle with a trailer, possess a valid driver’s license and insurance, are at least 18 years of age, and authorized to work in the United States, this opportunity could be an excellent fit for you. The combination of flexible part-time evening work, steady pay, and the chance to remain local makes this position advantageous for those seeking reliable supplemental income without the hassle of long-distance travel or heavy lifting of bulk items.
