Job Description
Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in doorstep trash collection and maintenance services primarily for apartment communities. The company is dedicated to enhancing the living experience of residents by keeping their living environments clean, safe, and comfortable. Valet Living operates with a strong commitment to customer service and employee satisfaction, emphasizing a team-oriented culture that respects diversity and equal opportunity in the workplace. This part-time role is ideal for individuals seeking steady evening employment with consistent work hours and the convenience of working close to home without the hassle of long-distance travel or off-site dump trips. This opportunity is perfect for those looking for a second job or supplemental income with flexible scheduling that fits around other commitments such as full-time work, school, or family.
The position of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as Service Valet, involves servicing one or more apartment communities in the local area during evening hours. The core responsibility is to collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling from residents’ doorsteps and transport them to the community's on-site compactor using the employee's own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer. This role requires an individual who enjoys staying active, as the job entails walking through the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The work schedule typically includes 10-12 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday, starting at 7:00 PM, with no weekend shifts. Employees benefit from fast, reliable pay through a DailyPay system and the chance to earn referral bonuses, making it a lucrative part-time opportunity.
Beyond the primary duties, Service Valets utilize a mobile app to check in, track their work progress, and document completed tasks with photos when needed, integrating modern technology into the workflow to ensure efficient communication and accountability. Safety is also a priority, with the employer providing gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment to ensure a safe working environment. The job supports career growth as well, with half of the Area Leader positions filled through internal promotions, providing upward mobility for motivated individuals.
