Job Description

Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities across the United States. As a company, Valet Living is committed to enhancing the living experience for residents by delivering reliable, convenient, and environmentally responsible waste management solutions. The company prides itself on building strong relationships with communities, property managers, and residents through attentive and consistent service. By focusing on local, personalized services, Valet Living helps maintain clean, safe, and attractive environments in multifamily residential settings while reducing the hassle residents face with waste disposal.

This role is ideal for those seeking part-time evening employment that is both active and community-oriented. The Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, plays an essential role in the day-to-day well-being of apartment residents by ensuring that trash and recycling are collected from doorsteps and taken to onsite compactors, typically without requiring any long-distance driving or off-site dumping. This position offers flexible scheduling primarily during weeknights, generally excluding weekends, making it an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for supplemental income alongside other commitments such as full-time jobs, schooling, or family responsibilities.

The role requires the individual to have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer to facilitate the collection process. Candidates must also possess a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and be able to use a smartphone to operate the company’s work app, which facilitates real-time check-ins, progress tracking, and photo documentation. The physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, walking long distances, and navigating stairs while working outdoors in various weather conditions. The work environment promotes safety by providing gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment to protect employees during their shifts.

Compensation is competitive and paid reliably, with truck drivers earning $18.00 per hour and helpers earning $16.00 per hour. Valet Living supports a steady workflow of approximately 10-15 hours per week during evenings, usually starting between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday. The company also offers fast pay options through platforms like DailyPay, enabling workers to access earned wages quickly, which is especially beneficial for those relying on this role for additional income.

Valet Living values internal career growth and encourages employees to advance within the company, with half of the area leader hires coming from internal promotions. The supportive and inclusive work culture emphasizes safety, health, and community involvement, making it a desirable part-time job for active individuals seeking flexible hours and a steady source of income near their homes. This role allows employees to stay local, avoid lengthy commutes, and engage with familiar neighborhood communities while contributing meaningfully to the upkeep of apartment complexes.

If you are motivated by an active work environment, enjoy helping maintain clean residential spaces, and have the required vehicle and qualifications, this position offers a perfect blend of flexibility, good pay, and the chance to be part of a company committed to outstanding customer service and operational excellence. Join Valet Living’s team and help make apartment living more comfortable and convenient by applying for the part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist role today.
