Job Description

Valet Living is a leading service provider specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities across the United States. The company is recognized for its commitment to keeping residential communities clean, safe, and comfortable by providing prompt and reliable waste collection services. Valet Living focuses on enhancing the living experience of apartment residents by ensuring that trash and recycling are quickly removed from their doorsteps, reducing clutter and improving overall property aesthetics. As a company that values diversity and inclusivity, Valet Living operates with equal opportunity principles, fostering an environment where all employees can thrive regardless of their background or personal characteristics. The company offers part-time employment opportunities that provide flexible schedules suitable for individuals seeking supplemental income or steady work in their local areas. Valet Living believes in supporting its workforce with competitive pay rates, safety equipment, and a streamlined hiring process, making it an attractive employer for those looking for evening work close to home.

The role of a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, also known as a Service Valet, is an integral part of Valet Living's operational team. This position involves servicing one or more nearby apartment communities by collecting bagged trash and cardboard recycling directly from residents' doorsteps and transporting it to an on-site compactor using the employee's personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle equipped with a trailer. The job is designed to be performed during evening hours, typically from Sunday to Thursday starting at 7:00 PM, offering approximately 10 to 12 hours of weekly work. This schedule makes it ideal for individuals seeking a second job or part-time evening employment that fits around other commitments such as a full-time job, education, or family responsibilities.

As a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, the candidate will experience an active work environment that includes walking the property, climbing stairs, and working outdoors in various weather conditions. The role does not involve long-distance travel, bulk item handling, or off-site dumping, emphasizing efficiency and local service. Using a mobile application, specialists check in, track their work, and document completed tasks, ensuring accountability and ease of communication. The position offers competitive hourly pay rates—$24 per hour for those providing their own truck and $20 per hour for helpers. Additional benefits include steady and reliable work, fast payment through DailyPay, and opportunities for career growth within the company, with many leadership roles filled by internal promotions. Safety is a top priority, with gloves, safety vests, and essential equipment provided to protect employees as they perform their duties. Valet Living also offers referral bonuses, encouraging employees to bring friends onto the team and earn extra income.

This position is perfect for motivated individuals who enjoy staying active, value flexible scheduling, and want to work close to home without the burden of long-distance driving. Applicants must have their own personal open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and a smartphone with a data plan to use the company’s work app. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and authorized to work in the U.S. The role requires the ability to work independently, manage a consistent routine, and safely handle physical tasks such as lifting up to 50 pounds and navigating multiple flights of stairs. By joining Valet Living as a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, employees become part of a team dedicated to quickly and efficiently improving the living conditions of apartment community residents, while enjoying a flexible, rewarding, and supportive work environment.
