Job Description

Valet Living is a renowned service company specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection, dedicated to maintaining cleanliness and comfort in apartment communities. Established as a leading provider of essential cleaning services, Valet Living partners with multiple residential apartment complexes to ensure residents enjoy a tidy, secure, and pleasant living environment. Their commitment extends beyond routine cleaning to fostering a sense of community pride and enhancing the living experience of thousands of residents across the country. As a company, Valet Living emphasizes inclusivity and equal opportunity employment, recognizing diversity as a key strength in the workplace.

The company is currently hiring part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also referred to as Service Valets. These evening roles present an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking steady, reliable part-time employment with consistent hours. The position involves servicing one or more nearby apartment communities, without the need for long-distance driving or off-site dumping, which makes it ideal for those who prefer to work close to home and avoid lengthy commutes. This role is perfect for candidates looking for a second job or supplemental income with flexibility in scheduling, particularly suited to those who want to stay active and engaged throughout their work shifts.

The primary responsibility is straightforward yet vital: collect bagged trash and cardboard recycling right from apartment doorsteps and deliver it to the on-site compactor each service night so that the trash is completely removed by morning. The work involves walking, climbing stairs, and spending time outdoors, which provides physical activity in a supportive and safe work environment. Using a mobile app, employees check-in, keep track of their tasks, and take photos when necessary, providing an organized and seamless workflow.

Valet Living offers competitive pay rates—$17 per hour for helpers and $20 per hour for drivers using a truck. Most shifts occur from Sunday to Thursday nights, beginning after 7:00 or 8:00 PM, typically totaling 10 to 15 or more hours per week, with no weekend work required. This schedule is particularly attractive for those balancing other commitments such as school, a full-time job, or family responsibilities. The company provides a quick hiring process and daily pay options through DailyPay, enabling employees to access their earnings fast. Additionally, workers are assigned to communities near their homes to minimize travel and increase convenience.

Safety is a priority at Valet Living, with gloves, safety vests, and necessary equipment provided to ensure employee well-being during shifts. Many employees also appreciate the chance for career progression, as about half of the company’s Area Leaders come from internal promotions, highlighting opportunities for growth and advancement within the organization. Referral bonuses are also offered, making it a rewarding opportunity for those who bring friends to the team.

Valet Living is committed to offering a respectful, inclusive, and supportive workplace environment. The company strictly adheres to equal employment opportunity principles, ensuring no discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender, age, or any other legally protected status. Overall, the role of Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist offers a unique blend of steady income, physical activity, flexible scheduling, and meaningful community service—all within a company that values diversity and employee development.
