Job Description

Valet Living is a premier service company specializing in doorstep trash and recycling collection for apartment communities. Established to enhance the quality of life for apartment residents, Valet Living focuses on sustainability, community cleanliness, and convenience. By partnering with residential properties across the country, Valet Living offers a unique service that reduces the hassle of traditional communal trash disposal, helping residents maintain a cleaner and more comfortable living environment. This company operates primarily in the property services and facilities management sector, emphasizing eco-friendly waste management and resident satisfaction.

Currently, Valet Living is seeking dedicated part-time Doorstep Trash Collection Specialists, also known as Service Valets, to join their team during evening hours. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking flexible work schedules, consistent hours, and a way to earn additional income locally without long-distance travel. The role is uniquely suited for those who own an open-bed pickup truck or a vehicle with a trailer, as these are essential for performing pickups and transporting waste on site efficiently.

As a Doorstep Trash Collection Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to service one or more nearby apartment communities by collecting residents' bagged trash and cardboard recyclables directly from their doorsteps. This responsibility promotes safety, cleanliness, and convenience for residents, ensuring that the apartment property remains free of waste by the next morning. The role requires active physical engagement, including walking property grounds, climbing stairs, and working outdoors through various weather conditions. The work is designed to be straightforward yet impactful, with no requirement for bulk item pickup, off-site dumping, or extended travel – all pickups occur within close proximity to your home.

Valet Living offers competitive part-time wages with pay rates varying based on whether you merely help or also provide your vehicle for waste transport. The Helper Pay Rate starts at $14 per hour, while the Truck Pay Rate is $17 per hour. Scheduled hours typically fall Sunday through Thursday in the evening, beginning between 7:00 and 8:00 PM, giving you weekend freedom. This schedule is perfect for those balancing a primary job, school, or family obligations. The company supports a rapid onboarding and hiring process to help you get started quickly and begin earning extra income as soon as possible.

To perform this role effectively, you must have your own open-bed pickup truck or a similar vehicle with a trailer, a valid driver’s license, and auto insurance. Being at least 18 years of age and authorized to work in the United States with proof is mandatory. Additionally, you will use a smartphone with a mobile data plan to utilize Valet Living’s intuitive mobile app, which assists you in tracking your work progress, checking in at job sites, and capturing any required photos for documentation.

Beyond the practical benefits of steady, localized work, Valet Living cultivates a positive work environment focused on safety and career advancement. The company provides all necessary safety gear including gloves and safety vests, and many Service Valets find opportunities to grow within the company—with internal promotions constituting 50% of Area Leader hires. Employee referrals are rewarded with bonuses, creating a supportive and community-oriented team culture.

In summary, this position offers a valuable chance to earn supplemental income with flexibility, minimal commute, and active work. If you are interested in a part-time evening job that keeps you moving, near home, and engaged in a meaningful role helping residents, consider applying to become part of the Valet Living team today. The company embraces diversity and inclusion, committing to equal employment opportunities for people from all backgrounds.
