Job Requirements

  • Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to stoop, crawl, twist, turn, lift, kneel, climb ladders and stairs
  • Able to regularly lift/carry 50 pounds
  • Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments with sometimes slippery floors
  • Able to work in varying degrees of temperatures
  • Able to tolerate a high-level work pace typical for retail food industry
  • Able to work 8-10 hours on your feet

Job Qualifications

  • Food Handlers card
  • Ability to uphold Columbia Edgewater Country Club's core values
  • Willingness to work mornings, evenings, and weekends regularly
  • Experience in food preparation and kitchen sanitation
  • Knowledge of proper food handling and safety standards
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environment
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Complies with established sanitation standards, personal hygiene and health standards
  • Observes proper food preparation and handling techniques
  • Stores food properly and safely, marks the date and item, and practices first in/out
  • Checks chemicals regularly and maintains dish machine at proper operating temperature
  • Keeps work area neat and clean and uses proper tools for tasks
  • Follows procedures to avoid cross contamination
  • Cleans and maintains equipment used in food preparation
  • Reports necessary equipment repair and maintenance
  • Prepares food served using established recipes, production procedures, and systems
  • Checks in and receives deliveries as needed to ensure accuracy
  • Correctly prepares all food served following standard recipes and plating design
