Job Requirements
- associates must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or equivalent
- ability to read and comprehend instructions in english
- ability to write simple correspondence in english
- ability to perform basic math operations using american money and weight measurements
- ability to follow oral and written instructions
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- ability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- specific vision abilities including close vision, color, and depth perception
- completion of company training programs including food sanitation, customer service, and safety
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or ged or equivalent combination of education and experience
- one to three months related experience or training is preferred
- exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
- ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and write basic correspondence in english
- strong customer service orientation
- basic mathematical skills including addition and subtraction of two-digit numbers
- ability to work cooperatively in a team setting
- willingness to complete company training including food safety and product knowledge
Job Duties
- take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
- provide customer service and assist customers effectively
- clean and maintain work areas to ensure hygiene and safety
- unload stock deliveries and reload salvage products following company guidelines
- cooperate with team members to create a positive work environment
- participate in required training to enhance product knowledge and service skills
