The SCHEELS role available focuses on supporting Ginna’s Restaurant, an integral part of the SCHEELS shopping environment that enhances the overall customer experience through a variety of food service offerings. The position is designed for individuals passionate about delivering quality food and exceptional service. Responsibilities include preparing and selling fudge products, managing deli line tasks, operating the barista station, handling grill duties, and serving ice cream and baked goods, all while ensuring compliance with food safety regulations and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization.

Associates in this role receive extensive training in kitchen operations, food safety guidelines, and cash handling procedures, allowing them to develop expertise in multiple food preparation areas. Employees are expected to exhibit professionalism, maintain a positive team atmosphere, and actively contribute to the company’s reputation for outstanding customer experiences. This is a part-time position with typical schedule hours from Monday to Friday, 9:15 AM to 3 PM, averaging 27 hours per week, with the possibility of varied shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays during peak seasons.

This role requires individuals who demonstrate strong communication skills, adaptability, attention to detail, and a proactive work ethic. Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Prepare all fudge products and sell to customers
  • perform all Ginna’s restaurant functions including deli line, barista, grill, ice cream, baked goods, fudge and other duties as assigned
  • follow all food safety guidelines by State and Local Ordinances
  • ensure all products are received and stored according to Standard Operating Guidelines
  • assist in training new associates on kitchen tools, mentor checklists and SOPs
  • ensure cash control and till management per Scheels Cashier Guidelines
  • manage and support side work, daily cleaning schedules, opening and closing procedures
  • maintain working knowledge of café recipes and prepared foods
  • maintain an orderly and clean workspace
  • be professional in appearance and attitude, contribute to a positive team atmosphere
  • perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division with money and measurements
  • read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals
  • write routine reports and correspondence
  • speak effectively before groups
  • demonstrate strong communication skills
  • work assigned schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • prepare various types of food and drinks
