Since its founding in 1999, Mom's Meals has built a strong reputation as a family-operated business dedicated to improving the well-being and quality of life of seniors, patients recovering post-discharge, and individuals managing chronic health conditions. The company delivers fully prepared, refrigerated meals directly to customers' homes nationwide, ensuring convenient and nutritious options that cater to specific dietary needs. Mom's Meals embraces a culture centered on community, compassion, and service, making it an ideal workplace for those passionate about making a difference in the lives of others.
Currently experiencing a phase of hyper-growth, Mom's Meals is seeking passionate, customer-focused individuals to join their team as Part-time Customer Service Representatives at their offices in Ankeny, IA, and Des Moines, IA. This position plays a critical role by acting as the front line for customers placing meal orders. Employees in this role provide outstanding customer service by efficiently and accurately processing orders, addressing questions, and addressing any concerns clients may have. This mission-driven company emphasizes an inclusive, supportive work environment with opportunities for growth, competitive hourly pay, and weekly paychecks. The role is part-time, offering between 20 and 29 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Additionally, all new hires receive three weeks of full-time onsite training to ensure success.
The starting pay rate for this position is $17.00 per hour, with bilingual representatives earning $18.00 per hour. Aside from competitive wages, team members enjoy several valuable perks including free breakfast and lunch, a casual dress code, and a tiered growth path designed to promote career advancement from day one. Referral bonuses are available starting from the first day, and employees are also eligible to participate in a 401(k) retirement savings plan. This in-office position offers a dynamic work environment where employees engage directly with customers, handle inbound and outbound calls, document client interactions, and collaborate with case managers via phone, email, or fax to resolve special situations.
The ideal candidate will have at least a high school diploma or GED, one year of customer service experience, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook, and strong oral communication skills. Experience in a call center environment and familiarity with CRM systems, auto dialers, and multi-line phone systems are preferred. Bilingual abilities, especially in English and Spanish, are highly valued. Additionally, candidates must demonstrate the ability to de-escalate situations and resolve customer complaints swiftly while maintaining adherence to company policies and core values. Physical requirements include performing repetitive motions involving wrists, hands, or fingers, remaining seated for extended periods, and possessing adequate visual perception abilities.
Mom's Meals values diversity and adheres to federal and state non-discrimination laws, ensuring equal employment opportunities for all qualified applicants regardless of race, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, or military status. Joining Mom's Meals means becoming part of a mission-driven family committed to delivering nutritious meals that improve lives while advancing your career in a supportive, fun, and compassionate work setting.
