Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • must possess at least one form of TSA-acceptable identification for business travel
  • high school diploma or GED or international equivalent
  • good communication skills
  • authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand English
  • willing and able to lift and push items weighing up to 100 pounds
  • must be flexible to work rotating shifts including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and additional hours
  • completion of a pre-employment drug screen
  • comprehensive background check and/or fingerprinting
  • must fulfill FAA criminal background checks for unescorted access to airport security areas if applicable
  • must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges if applicable

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Provide a high level of customer service
  • answer questions about flight schedules and general terminal access
  • stand and walk for extended periods of time
  • provide a wide variety of assistance to mobility impaired customers such as pushing wheelchairs and transferring passengers to and from aircraft seats
  • escort passengers from the terminal to and from aircraft ensuring a safe path at all times
  • drive golf carts or tugs in congested areas when necessary
  • fill out passenger paperwork relating to unaccompanied minors and occasionally stay overnight escorting them
  • lift and carry heavy luggage weighing up to 100 pounds
  • monitor airport activity and perform required security checks of aircraft post-arrival and pre-departure
  • assist with oversize and valet luggage ensuring correct tagging and routing
  • ensure unattended aircraft are secure and perform security checks on international and overnight aircraft
  • ensure correct loading of the aircraft and maintain accurate logs and records
  • remove unclaimed bags from carousel
  • stack unclaimed items into secured storage
  • work shifts including irregular hours, weekends, holidays
  • perform additional related duties as required
