The Part Time Custodian position at SBM Management Services is integral to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and operational excellence within assigned areas. The Custodian is tasked with overseeing the sanitation of all rooms and facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, clients, and visitors. This role is designed for individuals who demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to safety and company protocols during night shifts on weekends. Offering $16.50 per hour, the role requires working from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM on Saturdays and Sundays. The position involves a range of janitorial duties, operation of motorized cleaning equipment, hazardous waste management, and adherence to safety regulations. Custodians at SBM are expected to maintain daily schedules, utilize appropriate personal protective equipment, collaborate with team members, and communicate professionally with supervisors, colleagues, and customers. The environment demands physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 35 pounds, and willingness to perform repetitive tasks with high standards of personal and workplace hygiene. Training and certifications related to safety and task procedures are essential, with possible forklift certification requirements.

Job Duties

Perform janitorial duties
perform all duties listed on the daily schedule
perform hazardous waste responsibilities including collecting, classifying, sorting, storing, shipping and receiving, labeling, cleaning, recycling, packaging of special and hazardous waste
operate motorized cleaning equipment
maintain daily upkeep of assigned area
report incidents and hazardous conditions to supervisor
comply with safety rules, policies, and procedures
