Job Requirements

  • minimum of one year of cooking experience including short order and quantity cooking
  • possession of Serv-Safe certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • willingness to learn new food preparation techniques
  • knowledge of special dietary needs of residents
  • demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team
  • ability to deal with conflict and customer complaints
  • ability to focus on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • adherence to all food safety and equipment safety procedures
  • knowledge of and compliance with community quality standards

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • prepare and serve food items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner as assigned
  • maintain proper sanitation and safety procedures during all food preparation
  • follow recipes to ensure consistency and quality of meals
  • order, receive, and rotate stock in collaboration with the Food Service Director
  • assist in meeting or exceeding resident dining expectations
  • communicate effectively with team members and residents
  • comply with community quality standards and food safety regulations
