Job Description
Integral Senior Living (ISL) proudly manages care and lifestyle-focused Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care communities across California and surrounding areas, serving thousands of residents and families throughout the region. ISL is recognized as one of the largest senior living organizations in the nation, and its communities have earned Great Place to Work certifications from 2022 to 2026. The company is deeply committed to cultivating purpose-driven environments where residents can thrive, and team members feel empowered, valued, and supported. The foundation of ISL's success lies in its "Culture Keepers," a set of guiding principles that shape the workplace atmosphere and prioritize the well-being and growth of every individual within their communities.
At Integral Senior Living, career development is a key focus. The organization invests continuously in learning and professional growth opportunities, ensuring that every team member has access to the tools, training, and resources needed for building a meaningful and rewarding career. ISL offers competitive wages, access to wages before payday, flexible scheduling with both full-time and part-time options, and a comprehensive benefits package. Full-time employees enjoy paid time off, holidays, and health benefits including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance. Additionally, the company provides a 401(k) plan with employer matching, paid training programs, meal provisions, uniforms, and an Employee Assistance Program to support overall employee wellness.
The role of Cook at ISL is vital to maintaining the quality and satisfaction of the dining experience for senior residents. The Cook is responsible for preparing hot and cold menu items that require proficiency in various cooking stations including the grill, sauté, salad-bar, and service line. Precision in food preparation, portion control, and adherence to standardized recipes is essential to ensure consistency and quality. Cooks must taste and evaluate dishes to determine their quality and palatability, paying close attention to presentation and detail. The position demands strong organizational skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to food safety standards. Experience in senior living environments is preferred but not mandatory, though familiarity with production methods, portion control, and food handling safety is required.
Working on a scheduled basis of Sundays, Mondays, and Wednesdays from 10am to 6:30pm, this role offers a balanced schedule with the opportunity to contribute positively to the community's dining services. ISL values individuals who are passionate about making a direct impact on the lives of others through their work. If you are dedicated, detail-oriented, and eager to join a team with a strong culture of support and professional growth, this Cook position at Integral Senior Living is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a meaningful and fulfilling environment.
