We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Part-time Cook to join our culinary team. This role is essential in maintaining the high standard of food quality and atmosphere within our community dining experiences. As a Part-time Cook at Legend Senior Living, you will play a vital role in preparing nourishing meals from scratch using fresh ingredients, catering to the specific dietary needs of our residents with compassion and professionalism. This position emphasizes a balanced work-life schedule, with no late nights, as our residents prefer to dine early. Responsibilities will include preparing meals according to the menu plan, assisting with meal service, maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas, inspecting work and storage areas for compliance with food service standards, and adhering to safety and infection control procedures. Our cooks are also responsible for properly labeling and dating all food items to ensure freshness and safety. Job Requirements

Possess a minimum of one year of experience in a commercial restaurant
Demonstrate the ability to provide the highest level of culinary service and professional interaction to residents and associates

Job Duties

Providing hands-on assistance with the dietary needs of the residents and fulfilling special meal requests when needed
Preparing meals from the menu plan and assisting with the service of the meals
Maintaining cleanliness of production and service areas
Inspecting work, storage, preparation, and service areas to meet all applicable food service standards and regulations
Following safe work procedures to include injury prevention, food safety, and infection control
Properly labeling and dating all food in the refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage
