The Cook position at Club Louie's is a vital role within this luxurious yet fast-paced hospitality setting. The successful candidate will work various shifts, requiring availability in both the AM and PM to meet the dynamic needs of the lounge's operations. Job Requirements

  • valid California Food Handler's Card
  • 4+ years of professional kitchen experience
  • strong knife skills
  • expertise in cooking proteins
  • ability to multitask in high-volume environment
  • ability to work AM and PM shifts
  • physical ability to carry lift push pull up to 50 pounds
  • ability to bend and stoop regularly
  • ability to work with grills, ovens, and stovetops

Job Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional kitchen experience including hot line, cold station, and pizza prep
  • expertise in cooking proteins to precise temperatures including meat and fish
  • strong knife skills and butchery knowledge
  • ability to adhere to recipes accurately
  • valid California Food Handler's Card
  • ability to multitask in a high-volume setting while maintaining quality
  • open availability for AM and PM shifts

Job Duties

  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming including wearing proper uniform
  • have thorough knowledge of menus and preparation according to hotel standards
  • comply with certification requirements such as food handlers safety
  • prepare food items according to guest orders following recipe cards, production, portion, and presentation standards
  • start food items prepared ahead of time avoiding overproduction
  • maintain kitchen line post during operating hours to prepare food to order with efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • prepare food for banquets following banquet event order specifications
  • operate, maintain,and clean kitchen equipment including deep fryer, broiler, stove, steamer, food processor, mixer, slicer, oven, steam table, tilt kettle, waffle iron, and flat top grill
  • understand ingredients, products, and equipment
  • operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
  • clean and maintain station practicing good safety and sanitation
  • assist with kitchen and equipment cleaning and organization
  • restock items as needed through shift
  • practice safe work habits to avoid injuries
