- must be at least 18 years of age
- high school diploma or GED or equivalent experience
- ability to stand and walk for extended periods

Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED or one to three months related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- exceptional interpersonal skills
- ability to read, write, and comprehend instructions in English
- ability to perform basic mathematical operations
- ability to communicate effectively in English with customers and associates
- completion of company training programs including food sanitation and customer service
- knowledge of food safety policies and procedures
- ability to adapt to changing work environments and multitask
- physical capability to stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform manual tasks
Job Duties
- take excellent care of customers by satisfying their needs and exceeding expectations
- prepare, process, package, and stock products according to fresh foods standards
- provide customer service and answer customer questions at the sales floor and counter
- clean work areas, including prep rooms, coolers, counters, and floors
- unload stock from trucks and reload salvage products
- operate necessary equipment to prepare and portion products
- maintain proper refrigeration and check product temperatures
- prepare and decorate bakery items according to recipes and customer specifications
- communicate clearly with customers and associates
- follow health department and safety standards
- stock and block products while minimizing shrink
- process close-dated and damaged products
- prepare and offer daily samples
- assist fellow associates with unloading trucks, restocking, and inventory
- comply with company policies and standards
- report safety hazards and accidents promptly
- complete required paperwork accurately
- perform essential job functions throughout scheduled hours
