Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age
Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training
Ability to stand, walk, and use hands and arms regularly
Capability to lift and move up to 30 pounds regularly and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
Ability to maintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance according to company policy
Reliable attendance and punctuality with advance notice for absences or tardiness
Compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
Ability to work in moderate to varying temperatures and handle chemicals safely
Strong customer service orientation and communication skills

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
One to three months of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing
Basic mathematical skills including addition and subtraction
Ability to follow detailed but uninvolved instructions
Completion of company training including food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge
Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well in a team environment

Job Duties

Take excellent care of customers by satisfying needs and exceeding expectations
Prepare, process, package, and stock products according to Fresh Foods Standards
Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers on the sales floor and counter
Maintain cleanliness of work areas and comply with health and safety regulations
Unload stock, reload salvage products, and ensure proper refrigeration of fresh items
Decorate bakery items and create party trays following standards
Communicate effectively with customers and team members regarding products and promotions
Follow all company policies, safety standards, and food safety guidelines
Assist fellow associates with daily tasks and promote a positive team environment
