Operating as a hospitality company, Soho House provides luxurious environments that merge work with leisure, offering spaces to relax, eat, drink, and foster connections within a vibrant community. The brand is distinguished by its exceptional service, ambiance, and member experiences, making it a sought-after destination worldwide.
Within Soho House, the role of the Bartender is pivotal to delivering the elevated hospitality and immersive experiences the brand is known for. The Bartender serves as an ambassador of the brand and the global food and drink program, tasked with preparing a variety of alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages while maintaining the highest standards of service. This lively position requires a charismatic personality full of positive energy to create an engaging, fun atmosphere that stimulates conversation and drives sales.
The Bartender at Soho House is responsible not only for the skilled crafting of cocktails and beverages but also for connecting with members through personal interaction, remembering drink preferences, and offering knowledgeable recommendations on menu items. This role demands efficiency, observation, and expertise in mixology, including craft cocktails and seasonal ingredients. Additionally, the Bartender upholds cleanliness and organization at the bar, manages inventory, cooperates with peers, and ensures compliance with legal age requirements for alcohol consumption. The position also involves upselling and creating attractive displays that promote specific drinks, enhancing the overall guest experience.
Soho House offers a competitive pay rate, beginning at $17.87 per hour in California, with variations across other locations according to market factors and individual qualifications. The company emphasizes career development, providing extensive training opportunities that help employees refine their technical and managerial skills, potentially advancing their careers domestically and internationally.
The role is ideal for individuals passionate about craft cocktails and hospitality, with a personable approach to customer service and a strong ability to multitask effectively in a high-volume food and beverage environment. With a flexible schedule, reliable attendance, and tips certification, the Bartender contributes directly to the unforgettable atmosphere that defines Soho House. Benefits include comprehensive health care, paid time off, retirement plans, community involvement programs, and a suite of team activities designed to foster engagement and well-being among staff.
Joining Soho House as a Bartender means becoming part of a globally connected community dedicated to excellence in hospitality and member experiences. The position demands physical stamina to manage extended periods on your feet, quick movement throughout the club, and the ability to handle lifting tasks up to 40 pounds. If you thrive in a fast-paced setting and are eager to bring your mixology skills to a prestigious and culturally rich environment, Soho House offers a dynamic and rewarding career opportunity that extends beyond typical bartending roles.
