Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is a distinctive boutique hotel nestled in the historic James H. Reed building, originally built in 1903. As part of the Marcus Hotels & Resorts family, it brings together the charm of old-world architecture with bold, whimsical interiors to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. Located in a city experiencing a creative renaissance, this 248-room hotel stands as Pittsburgh's fearless answer to boutique hospitality. The hotel culture values individuality, personal growth, and genuine guest connections, fostering an inclusive environment where passionate hospitality professionals can thrive. Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is dedicated to a workplace that celebrates uniqueness through its core values of Be Yourself, Lead Yourself, and Make It Count, emphasizing employee empowerment and memorable guest experiences.

The role of the Bartender at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is a dynamic and exciting opportunity for individuals passionate about crafting personalized guest experiences in a lively setting. In this role, bartenders prepare and serve drinks professionally and courteously, ensuring timely and outstanding service to each guest. The bartender acts as an advocate for the bar and restaurant, creating memorable personal experiences for guests, which encourages return visits. This position involves greeting and welcoming guests promptly, accurately processing food and beverage orders via the POS system, and maintaining effective communication with the support crew and management team. Bartenders are responsible for pouring drinks to exact specifications, serving food and beverages, stocking the bar, and ensuring cleanliness of all bar areas including mixers, glasses, and soda guns.

Employees in this role are expected to uphold uniform and grooming standards while maintaining a cooperative team environment. The position requires flexibility, as team members may be called upon to perform a variety of tasks beyond their typical job duties. This role is ideal for candidates with a minimum of three years' bartending experience who are skilled in wine and spirits knowledge, customer engagement, and cash and credit handling procedures. Certification in food handling and alcohol serving adds to a candidate's qualifications. The role may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays, reflecting the operational demands of a bustling boutique hotel environment.

Beyond the immediate responsibilities, the bartender position at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh offers enriched career growth within The Marcus Corporation’s portfolio of 15 hotels and resorts across the U.S., providing opportunities for transfers and advancement. Employees benefit from room discounts at Marcus Hotels & Resorts and IHG-branded properties, discounts at resort amenities such as restaurants, cafes, lounges, golfing, skiing, and spa facilities, as well as "two for one" movie theater coupons at Marcus Theatres. Additionally, the company supports its team with paid time off and flexible scheduling, reinforcing their commitment to work-life balance.

Overall, the Bartender role at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh is not merely a service position but a chance to be part of a culturally rich and innovative hospitality team that values creativity, inclusivity, and guest satisfaction.
