Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally and/or 20 pounds frequently
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Flexible to work long and varied hours
- Maintain regular attendance
- Compliance with hotel policies and safety rules
- Must attend required trainings
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Physical stamina
- Friendly and courteous attitude
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in hotel or related field preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must be attentive, friendly, courteous and service oriented
- Capable of multitasking and prioritizing departmental functions
- Must attend all required meetings and trainings
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming
- Ability to work flexible and long hours
- Capable of handling and solving problems effectively
- Ability to understand and apply complex information
- Willingness to cross-train in other hotel areas
- Maintain confidentiality of information
- Show initiative in anticipating guest or operational needs
Job Duties
- Maintain a warm and friendly demeanor at all times
- Set up the bar according to hotel standards and ensure prompt and efficient guest service
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the hotel’s mixing and presentation standards
- Serve guests with all beverage requirements in a friendly, courteous and professional manner
- Break down bar after functions, storing liquor, supplies, and equipment according to hotel standards
- Follow all state liquor laws
- Know hotel services and facilities
- Abide by all hotel policies and safety rules
- Respond to guests' problems, complaints and accidents
- Ensure that the bar and service areas are kept clean and tidy during service
- Ensure overall guest satisfaction
