Job Description

Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, a proud member of Marriott International, is a globally recognized hospitality brand known for connecting guests through engaging experiences and thoughtful service. Established in 1937, Sheraton has grown to become a leading name in the hotel industry, with more than 400 communities around the world. The brand prides itself on creating a sense of belonging among its associates and guests alike, celebrating the rich blend of cultures, talents, and experiences within its global team. Sheraton’s dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusion ensures a welcoming and supportive environment for all employees, valuing each individual’s unique background and fostering equal opportunities across all roles. As part of Marriott International’s portfolio of brands, Sheraton aligns with a commitment to excellence and innovation in hospitality, aiming to be "The World's Gathering Place."

This role is for a Bartender at Sheraton Hotels & Resorts, where the job goes far beyond simply mixing drinks. Bartenders are expected to craft unforgettable experiences by staying ahead of industry trends, exploring micro-local offerings, and responding to guests’ evolving needs. This position is ideal for someone passionate about not only beverage expertise but also hospitality and guest service. Bartenders act as hosts within the space, ensuring the bar operates seamlessly and that every guest receives personalized, attentive care. They are entrusted with both maintaining the quality and presentation of drinks and fostering positive relationships with guests, hotel staff, and the wider community.

Successful bartenders take ownership of the guest experience from start to finish, offering more than just drinks — they provide an experience that encourages return visits and strengthens the hotel’s reputation. Attention to detail is key, from handling transactions accurately and protecting company assets to maintaining a professional appearance and adhering to all company policies and safety procedures. Physical stamina is essential as bartenders spend long periods on their feet and engage in activities requiring lifting, bending, pulling, and reaching.

The position requires at least a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of one year of related work experience. While supervisory experience and certifications are not required, a proactive approach to guest service and teamwork is critical. Marriott International and Sheraton Hotels emphasize the importance of a non-discriminatory workplace that includes equal opportunity for individuals based on disability, veteran status, or any other protected category. This inclusive culture supports career growth and personal development while allowing employees to contribute meaningfully within a global team.

Joining Sheraton means becoming part of an exceptional community that prioritizes belonging, purpose, and excellence. Employees are encouraged to be themselves, grow their skills, and contribute to making Sheraton the preferred place to gather for travelers around the globe. This role offers an exciting opportunity for bartenders who are enthusiastic about hospitality, enjoy active and dynamic work environments, and want to make a genuine difference in the guest experience.
