Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Alcohol Awareness Certification complying with state regulations
- Ability to stand during entire shift
- Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work well under stressful conditions
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Experience in a hotel or related field preferred
- Alcohol Awareness Certification
- Effective listening and communication skills
- Ability to maintain professionalism and customer service in high pressure situations
- Familiarity with point of sale (P.O.S) systems
- Knowledge of state liquor laws and responsible alcohol service
Job Duties
- Approach all encounters with guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working
- Always comply with Mid-Continent Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc
- Perform opening and closing side work according to Mid-Continent Hospitality standards to ensure that guests are served promptly and efficiently
- Prepare beverages and cocktails according to the company’s mixing, portion control, and presentation
- Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous, and professional manner
- Ensure that the lounge is kept clean
- Follow check ringing procedures precisely
- Be familiar with the operation of the P.O.S system
- Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and servicing the guest
- Follow all state liquor laws
- Assist with maintaining beverage cost
- Follow prescribed procedures in serving liquor with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
- Perform related duties as assigned by supervisor
