The Barista role at Nsight offers a unique opportunity to be part of a vibrant team that delivers exceptional customer experiences in a friendly and efficient manner. This position is a part-time opportunity requiring availability for three days a week from 6:30 am to 2:30 pm. The role primarily focuses on creating a welcoming atmosphere in the shop by providing prompt, courteous service and ensuring the preparation of high-quality coffee, espresso, lattes, teas, and hot chocolate according to company standards. The successful candidate will also handle payment transactions accurately, maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the establishment, and adhere strictly to health and safety guidelines. Comfort with multitasking in a fast-paced environment and excellent interpersonal skills are essential for thriving in this position. Moreover, the role offers a chance to engage directly with customers, providing personalized attention that enhances their visit and builds customer loyalty. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of food service experience, preferably in a coffee house setting
  • Completion of a barista trainee class preferred
  • Completion of an accredited sanitation course preferred
  • Possession of a beverage operator license preferred
  • Knowledge of common kitchen equipment
  • Familiarity with office equipment such as phones and point-of-sale systems
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to engage effectively with customers
  • Moderate math and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to multitask effectively

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by greeting and assisting customers in a friendly manner
  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including coffee, espresso, lattes, tea, and hot chocolate, while maintaining knowledge of product offerings
  • Ensure consistency in food and beverage preparation by following Glas procedures and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store by regularly cleaning workstations and stocking supplies
  • Be flexible with scheduling to accommodate business needs and, for the Green Bay Glas location, assist with bike delivery to provide quality products to customers
  • Perform payment transactions accurately and efficiently
  • Carry out other duties as assigned
