We are currently seeking a part-time barista to join our vibrant team at our Rochester café. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about great coffee and enjoy engaging with people in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. As a barista at DOCR, you will be an ambassador of our company’s values, creating remarkable coffee experiences and contributing to our welcoming atmosphere.

Our baristas participate in a comprehensive education program at our Ferndale headquarters. This program combines classroom instruction with one-on-one hands-on training to equip staff with deep knowledge of espresso preparation, milk technique, and overall coffee expertise. Additionally, this training enhances hospitality skills, enabling baristas to deliver exceptional customer service that aligns with the DOCR standard.

The role involves preparing espresso drinks and brewed coffee to our exacting standards, ensuring every cup meets the high expectations of our customers. Baristas also maintain a clean, organized café environment, handle point-of-sale transactions with accuracy, and work collaboratively to provide a smooth service during busy periods. Building relationships with customers and teammates alike is key to fostering a positive café atmosphere.

The position is part-time with flexible scheduling, requiring availability on weekends and some evenings. The effective hourly rate, which includes base wage plus tips, ranges from $19 to $21 per hour.
