This part-time position at Harris Teeter is primarily responsible for preparing, processing, packaging, and stocking products in accordance with the company's established standards, inspired by the Starbucks Standards model. The role is pivotal in maintaining the overall presentation and availability of products, ensuring customers consistently find fresh, well-prepared items in-store. Alongside product handling, this role requires providing excellent customer service, contributing to a positive shopping environment. Employees in this position are also tasked with cleaning work areas, unloading stock deliveries, and reloading salvage products to minimize waste and maintain inventory accuracy.

Physical demands of the position include standing for extended periods, lifting and moving products up to 30 pounds regularly, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing activities such as reaching, climbing, stooping, and kneeling. Candidates should possess a high school diploma or GED as the minimum educational qualification. Prior related experience, or equivalent training, is beneficial. The ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions in English is essential, alongside basic math skills useful in handling money and measurements. Reasoning ability for following uninvolved instructions and problem-solving in standardized situations is required. Certification such as IST or AST and the completion of company training modules are also mandatory.
