The Westerner is now hiring a part-time Bar Assistant - Barback to support its dynamic bartending team. This position is crucial to maintaining the smooth operation of the bar, especially during peak hours on Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 PM to 2:30 AM. The Barback’s main responsibilities include cleaning and washing glassware, restocking supplies, helping dispense beer, and assisting bartenders in any way necessary to enhance service speed and quality. The role requires proactivity, reliability, and the ability to anticipate bartenders’ needs in a fast-paced, energetic atmosphere. As a part-time position, the Bar Assistant works typically on weekend nights and offers competitive pay starting at $2.50 per hour plus tips ranging from $150 to $200 per night.

Job Requirements
- at least 21 years of age
- ability to acquire Utah Alcohol Server training card within 14 days of hire
- ability to acquire Salt Lake County Health Department Food Handler's Permit within 14 days of hire
- availability to work Fridays and Saturdays from 8:00 PM to 2:30 AM
- physical ability to stand for extended periods
