At one of their iconic properties, The Wigwam in Arizona, the company seeks to further enrich its culinary team. The Wigwam is a historic landmark that has been interwoven with Arizona’s heritage since 1929. It is a Four Diamond rated resort spread across 440 acres and contains 331 guest rooms, offering an authentic Arizona experience to visitors. The Wigwam prides itself on curating memorable guest experiences and is seeking a passionate Baker to join their culinary team. This role is ideal for an individual who is creative, motivated, and eager to grow their talents within a professional kitchen setting. The Baker will work closely with culinary leadership to produce baked goods that align with seasonal menus and the unique concepts of the resort’s restaurants. The position demands consistent quality, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to kitchen operations, including a passive leadership role to help maintain production levels. Job Requirements

  • Must be willing to work a variety of day/night and weekend shifts
  • Able to be on your feet for long periods of time
  • Able to lift at least 50 pounds
  • Desire to exceed expectations

Job Qualifications

  • Previous experience working in a professional kitchen environment
  • Strong desire to learn and develop culinary skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Active food handler's certification or ability to obtain it
  • Strong organizational skills
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Passionate about culinary arts

Job Duties

  • Follows recipes and/or product directions to prepare items from scratch such as breads, rolls, muffins, biscuits
  • Places products into correctly prepared pans
  • Regulates the drafts and temperatures of the ovens
  • Places items in ovens
  • Removes baked items from ovens and applies appropriate toppings
  • May clean and sanitize workstations and equipment
  • Attends all allergy and foodborne illness in-service training
