Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- Read and write English
- Interact effectively with the general public and co-workers
- Comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, correspondence, and memos
- Write simple correspondence
- Present information effectively in one-on-one and small group situations
- Apply common sense to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions
- Possess basic PC and Outlook skills (preferred)
- Hold a Retail Management Certificate (preferred)
Job Duties
- Maintain store section by ordering, receiving, and stocking merchandise using proper equipment
- Ensure proper pricing on merchandise and check product date codes for rotation
- Stock shelves, end displays, floor stacks, displays, and refrigerated/frozen cases
- Prepare perishable products for sale when needed
- Set up advertising/promotional displays
- Review invoices and bills for accuracy
- Clean and maintain sanitation standards in all interior and exterior store areas including the parking lot
- Operate cash register, process payments, and handle check/charge/debit transactions
- Verify customer eligibility when selling alcoholic beverages
- Assist customers with carrying and loading purchases
- Perform basic bookkeeping duties including recording lost/damaged goods and store supplies
