Assistant Managers also take on essential responsibilities such as inspecting theatre facilities, enforcing dress codes, addressing safety concerns, and assisting in administrative tasks. The role is designed as a pathway for career advancement, with successful Assistant Managers able to progress to Senior Assistant Manager, and eventually to Theatre Manager or General Manager roles after completing requisite training and gaining hands-on experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • high school or GED graduate preferred
  • completion of three basic courses within Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program
  • completion of basic food handling training and obtain local or state mandated certification
  • completion of Safe Alcohol Service training if working with alcohol
  • flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • regular and consistent attendance
  • energetic and friendly attitude
  • excellent guest service skills
  • accurate cash handling and basic math skills
  • strong verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to work in a team environment and independently
  • ability to take and follow direction

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • completion of Management Accreditation Program basic courses

Job Duties

  • Follow the direction of the General Manager
  • support General Manager's decisions in communication with the staff
  • work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions
  • train and coach team members in their specific job functions
  • assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager
  • inspect the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition
  • report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to General Manager
  • ensure that theatre team members follow the dress code
  • interact with guests to improve service and ensure team members provide superior customer service
  • enforce policies and procedures consistently and fairly
  • report employee relations issues to General Manager
  • identify and sanitize high-contact areas
  • use personal protective equipment properly
  • address safety or security issues promptly
  • perform other work-related duties as assigned
