The role of Part-Time Air Courier Messenger at Brink's Global Services is a crucial position dedicated to ensuring the secure and efficient transit of customer liabilities from plane sides to designated customer and Brink's locations. This role involves armed security responsibilities, enforcing safety and security protocols to protect Brink’s property, customer cargo, and all persons associated with these logistical processes. The Courier Messenger will also facilitate outstanding customer service, assisting clients with their shipping needs and ensuring all documentation and delivery procedures are accurate and compliant with transportation regulations.
This position operates within an armed environment and demands a commitment to safety, professionalism, and attention to detail. The Part-Time Air Courier Messenger is responsible for managing secure deliveries, monitoring shipment transfers on tarmacs, and supporting internal operations associated with the handling and movement of valuables. Additionally, adherence to Department of Transportation regulations, traffic laws, and strict enforcement of security practices is mandatory for this role. The job offers a competitive hourly wage of $24 and requires flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts, reflecting the dynamic nature of logistics and security services.

Job Requirements
- Minimum 6 months of experience as a courier or guard working a secured logistics environment or where valuable liability is stored and managed
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- A current and valid driver's license
- Satisfy all applicable Department of Transportation requirements
- A valid weapons permit or ability to pass applicable weapons licensing requirements
- A valid guard card or ability to obtain a guard card or any other required licenses
- Ability to lift at least 50 pounds on a consistent and regular basis throughout the assigned shift
- Ability to work weekends and flexible range of hours as needed including holidays
Job Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months experience as a courier or guard in a secured logistics environment
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Current and valid driver's license
- Ability to satisfy all Department of Transportation requirements
- Valid weapons permit or ability to obtain required weapons licensing
- Valid guard card or ability to obtain guard card or other required licenses
- Ability to lift 50 pounds consistently
- Ability to work weekends and flexible hours including holidays
- Prior experience in freight forwarding or logistics in a secured armed environment preferred
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good basic math skills
- Professional and positive demeanor
- Ability to work independently
- Strong ethics and integrity
Job Duties
- Receive daily delivery routes and work closely with branch leadership to ensure paperwork and liability documentation accuracy prior to departure
- Maintain a position on the tarmac monitoring shipments being transferred on and off aircraft
- Provide secured delivery of all customer liability ensuring outstanding service during each transaction
- Ensure liability is appropriately secured and maintained inside and outside company vehicles
- Assist the location Sort Operation in moving liability and secured valuables between facilities and vehicles
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation regulations as well as traffic regulations and guidelines
- Enforce and report security or safety violations and any unusual or suspicious activity to Operations management
- Provide security by following General Security Regulations and management directives
- Cross-train and perform other assigned duties
