Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred
- no prior experience required
- physical ability to perform moderate physical effort including moving furniture and using hand or lightweight powered cleaning equipment
- ability to obtain required housekeeping and food handling certifications within specified timeframes
- willingness to work part-time schedule of 20 to 34.5 hours per week
- must comply with all NEXCOM Hospitality Group protocols
- commitment to maintaining guest privacy and security
- ability to report irregularities and lost and found items promptly
- may require valid state driver’s license
- ability to perform minor equipment maintenance and repairs

Job Duties
- Cleans guest rooms and other assigned areas
- operates cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, carpet cleaners, waxers, and polishers
- empties wastebaskets, dusts, waxes, and polishes furniture
- washes walls, partitions, air vents
- disinfects and deodorizes toilets, lavatories
- washes and replaces window treatments
- cleans ceiling fixtures
- changes light bulbs and room partitions using ladders and scaffolds
- moves furniture to clean under and behind
- uses step stools to clean windows and window treatments, cabinet tops, mirrors, and picture frames
- cleans bathroom areas including tubs, tile walls, commodes, floors, and vanities
- cleans kitchen areas including stoves, ovens, microwaves, refrigerators, cabinets, and floors
- washes and disinfects dishes, utensils, and cookware
- cleans iron and ironing board and replaces cover as necessary
- ensures proper functionality of luggage racks and adequate hangers
- ensures TVs, alarm clocks, and in-room phones are clean and properly programmed
- places amenities in rooms including consumables
- removes and replaces bed linens
- inspects mattresses and pull-out sofas
- moves and repositions beds upon guest checkout or guest request
- greets and welcomes guests maintaining outstanding guest relations
- ensures privacy and security of guests
- cleans, vacuums, and mops corridors, stairways, guest laundry, patios, and balconies
- shampoos rugs and carpets, polishes stair rails
- performs scheduled carpet cleaning using heavy industrial equipment
- performs deep cleaning as per program standards
- maintains cleanliness and order of storage rooms
- communicates status of cleaned rooms to supervisors
- accomplishes minor repairs and maintenance of equipment
- cleans and inspects exterior spaces such as parking lots and passageways
- loads and unloads trucks and vans
- assists with receipt, assembly, storage, and delivery of merchandise
- responsible for pass keys
- reports irregularities to supervisor
- reports lost and found items immediately
- sets up and cleans up breakfast bar
- obtains required food handling certifications
- completes safety and security training
- maintains a clean and safe environment
- performs laundry operations
- may travel between lodging facilities
- obtains NHG housekeeping certification within 6 months
- performs other related duties as assigned
