The Parking Attendant (Cashier) role at Hilton Hawaiian Village is an essential position within the Guest Service team, designed for individuals who take pride in delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring smooth operational flows. This full-time role requires availability to work all shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The hourly wage ranges from $27.04 to $33.80 depending on experience and skill level. The Parking Attendant is responsible for welcoming guests warmly, efficiently handling all parking transactions, and managing the cash in the parking booth area. This job involves collecting payments, processing credit and debit cards, managing gift certificates and vouchers, maintaining accurate records, and sometimes managing traffic flow to ensure a seamless parking experience for guests.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of customer service experience
  • At least one year of cashiering experience
  • Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Availability to work varied shifts including weekends, evenings and holidays
  • Service-oriented attitude with a focus on guest satisfaction

Job Duties

  • Greet arriving and departing guests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
  • Total, process and collect payments from guests and all parking transactions including using the point-of-sale system, handling money, managing a bank, reporting discrepancies, processing credit and debit cards, making change and processing gift certificates, cards, vouchers and credits
  • Operate and manage the parking booth area
  • Maintain accurate records of parking-related charges and fees including parking rates, validations, accrued parking time and vehicles in the hotel's care
  • Manage flow of traffic as needed
  • Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
