Job Description

UK Healthcare, located at 110 Transcript Ave, Lexington KY, operates a comprehensive parking facility dedicated to ensuring a seamless experience for its staff, patients, and visitors. Renowned for delivering excellent service and maintaining a safe, orderly environment, UK Healthcare strives to uphold high standards in all operational aspects, including parking management. The facility emphasizes customer satisfaction, safety, and operational efficiency, which is pivotal to supporting the overall healthcare environment. As an established healthcare provider, UK Healthcare consistently prioritizes professionalism, courteous service, and the well-being of all its guests and clients.

The Shuttle Area Ambassador role at UK Healthcare is integral to achieving these objectives. This position involves welcoming customers warmly, assisting them effectively, and facilitating the smooth flow of traffic within the parking garage. Operating under a schedule with varying shifts, the Shuttle Area Ambassador earns an hourly wage of $15.00, reflecting the importance of the role. Responsibilities range from managing parking equipment and ensuring it remains functional to actively monitoring the garage for safety hazards and overcapacity, thus playing a critical role in preventing operational disruptions.

As a vital liaison between incoming guests and operational management, the Shuttle Area Ambassador delivers exceptional customer service, answering questions, providing directions, and addressing any parking-related concerns. This role also demands excellent communication skills and a professional demeanor to handle varying scenarios, including managing violations of garage policies and coordinating emergency responses when necessary. Collaboration with operational managers, shift supervisors, maintenance, valet, and cashier staff is essential, ensuring the overall cleanliness, safety, and efficiency of the parking facility.

The role demands physical stamina, requiring the ambassador to be on their feet, walking throughout the facility for extended periods. This physical activity is crucial for performing patrols, issuing warnings, and maintaining vigilant oversight of the garage environment to identify and report hazards such as spills or lighting issues. The position also includes basic maintenance support and troubleshooting responsibilities for parking equipment, ensuring continuous operation without disruptions.

This full-time role provides comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, vision coverage, life and disability insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, and paid time off (PTO). These benefits exemplify UK Healthcare's commitment to its employees' well-being, providing a supportive work environment and opportunities for growth and stability. Overall, the Shuttle Area Ambassador is a frontline representative of UK Healthcare’s commitment to safety, customer service excellence, and efficient operation, making it a rewarding and impactful position within the organization.
