Job Requirements

  • minimum of 3 years ALS experience for flight paramedics
  • minimum of 3 years clinical experience for EMT-P/LP
  • current Texas certification or licensure as paramedic
  • current CPR certification
  • valid Texas driver's license and auto liability insurance
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • TNCC audit within 6 months of employment and every 4 years thereafter
  • advanced certification FP-C CCEMTP C-NPT or TP-C within 2 years
  • emergency vehicle operators course during orientation and every 3 years thereafter

Job Qualifications

  • current Texas certification or licensure as paramedic

  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain

Job Duties

  • provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance helicopter and fixed wing aircraft
  • maintain readiness of equipment
  • ensure availability of supplies
  • complete related paperwork
  • expand knowledge of pediatric and neonatal patients and apply that knowledge in the transport environment
  • develop and maintain positive working relationships
  • communicate effectively with patients families and medical staff
