Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years ALS experience for flight paramedics or 3 years clinical experience for EMT-P/LP
  • Plan to assess and document competency and proficiency in critical care medical transport
  • Valid Texas drivers license and auto liability insurance
  • Ability to work varying shifts
  • Self motivated and highly organized
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships

Job Qualifications

  • Current Texas certification or licensure as a paramedic
  • Current CPR certification
  • ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
  • TNCC audit within 6 months of employment and every 4 years thereafter
  • Advanced certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
  • Emergency Vehicle Operators Course during orientation and every 3 years thereafter

Job Duties

  • Provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed-wing aircraft
  • Maintain readiness of equipment and availability of supplies
  • Complete related paperwork accurately and timely
  • Apply knowledge of pediatric and neonatal care in transport environment
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and healthcare providers
  • Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during patient transport
