Job Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years ALS experience for flight paramedics or 3 years clinical experience for EMT-P/LP
- Plan to assess and document competency and proficiency in critical care medical transport
- Valid Texas drivers license and auto liability insurance
- Ability to work varying shifts
- Self motivated and highly organized
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to develop and maintain positive working relationships
Job Qualifications
- Current Texas certification or licensure as a paramedic
- Current CPR certification
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
- PALS certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
- NRP certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
- Stable certification within 90 days of employment and maintain
- TNCC audit within 6 months of employment and every 4 years thereafter
- Advanced certification (FP-C, CCEMTP, C-NPT or TP-C) within 2 years
- Emergency Vehicle Operators Course during orientation and every 3 years thereafter
Job Duties
- Provide care and transportation to pediatric and neonatal patients via ground ambulance, helicopter, and fixed-wing aircraft
- Maintain readiness of equipment and availability of supplies
- Complete related paperwork accurately and timely
- Apply knowledge of pediatric and neonatal care in transport environment
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members and healthcare providers
- Demonstrate strong customer service and communication skills
- Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory standards during patient transport
