Job Requirements
- high school diploma or equivalent
- graduate equivalent of recognized educational nursing program with state requirements
- currently licensed or certified in the state where responsibilities will be assigned as EMT-Paramedic
- current CPR and AED certification
- fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- complete FDA approved training for Medical Support Specialist
- two years clinical or hospital experience
Job Qualifications
- high school diploma or equivalent, graduate equivalent of a recognized nursing program with state requirements
- currently licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic

- satisfactorily complete FDA approved training for Medical Support Specialist
- two years clinical or hospital experience
Job Duties
- determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing Serological Protein Electrophoresis
- evaluate donor reactions occurring at the facility and manage medical emergencies according to SOPs
- refer to Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings and medical guidance
- support Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu vaccination programs for employees
- manage employee incidents with referrals to occupational health or emergency services
- act as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic investigations as required by EHS or Medical Affairs
