Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Current licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in state of assignment
  • Valid CPR and AED certification
  • Compliance with state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
  • Minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
  • Ability to work full time in Thornton, CO
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
  • Currently licensed or certified in the state including EMT-Paramedic certification
  • Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
  • Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
  • Completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
  • At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting

Job Duties

  • Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, and medical history interview
  • Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs
  • Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
  • Support employee vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu
  • Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation if required
  • Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic threat investigations
  • Follow medical guidance from the Center Physician and Medical Affairs
