Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current licensed or certified EMT-Paramedic in state of assignment
- Valid CPR and AED certification
- Compliance with state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Completion of FDA approved BioLife Medical Support Specialist training
- Minimum two years clinical or hospital experience
- Ability to work full time in Thornton, CO
- Authorization to work in the United States
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent including graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program
- Currently licensed or certified in the state including EMT-Paramedic certification
- Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification
- Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy
- Completion of FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
- At least two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Job Duties
- Determine donor eligibility including informed consent, AIDS education, and medical history interview
- Manage donor adverse events and evaluate donor reactions according to SOPs
- Review laboratory test results and notify donors of unsuitable results
- Support employee vaccination programs for Hepatitis B and Seasonal Flu
- Manage employee incidents and coordinate further evaluation if required
- Serve as Pandemic Coordinator when authorized and support pandemic threat investigations
- Follow medical guidance from the Center Physician and Medical Affairs
